seriously though, there is no real solid answer to that. Match play golf is prone to a wide variety of momentum swings and much different than stroke play.
Personally I feel that match play sets up better for your more ceribral conservative players in the long run and they tend to hold leads better. Risk/reward players such as Daly, Mickelson, etc can be more suceptible to losing leads as they can stray from their "natural" tendencies. Past winners tend to be players that play within themselves more often.
Not sure if that addresses your question, but I would feel much better with a Toms, Goosen, Woods type player 1-up lead heading to the back nine than I would with a Daly, Mickelson, Sabbatini type.
